INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) is just like a bundle of all these things:

the water piping system; the electrical lining system; the bicycle; roads and highways; the library; the printing press; the telephone; the airplane; and many more. A career in IT is not a dead-end job; it's a continuous learning and innovating of a lot of things.

When I’m ask what can I say about information technology first thing that will come on my mind are those internet café, researching, facebook, twitter, email accounts, online games, chatting, on-line business, and everything about computer. But we will search the definition of the information technology it is “the acquisition, processing, storage, dissemination of vocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by a microelectronics-based combination of computing and telecommunications”. Today, the use of technology is being emphasized by many people and because of this technology the life of the people today is going easier and easier everyday. Also we can benefit the information that the internet gave to us. Being literate in giving some advantage in the field of study, work, socialization, fun, and games many more.

So we can understand the meaning of information technology clearly I will give some explanations of it by comparing it to some things we can see in our surroundings and the things we are sing every day.

• ·         I can compare the information technology (IT) in the water piping system and electrical lining system. These two systems have a similar concept in both ways. Water piping and electrical lining system deliver us their services. This to system has a constant flow in delivering the electricity and water in our houses. Just like (IT) deliver us information in such ways. I can compare it to the IT because we really need it in our daily life. Even our cell phones that we use every day it uses the system of the IT. When we are talking about information it is very useful to us and to the students. Students research almost every day to make some answers to their questions because of the IT we can get information faster than to search it on the books in the library. In the library you need to search first the author of the book and title, and ect.. But in the computer you just type what you are looking for and click enter and Whalaa!! It appears immediately. The information you can get is faster and more accurate.

• ·         IT is also like a bicycle, roads and highways? We know that a bicycle is used for transportation and the roads and highways are where the bicycle passes on. I see there is a similarity on these three things the IT, bicycle, roads and highways. As we know we can get information in the internet I can compare it on the bicycle because information is keep on going and going you just need to make it stop or just like calling a taxi so you can get a ride on it. I mean on getting a ride is you need to read the information that you surf. IT is like a road that where the bicycle or the information passes on. Imagine that the highway is the internet and those vehicles are those information that keeps on going and going that you just need to choose the right vehicle or the right information you need.  That’s why I can compare the IT in the roads and highways. The information is the bicycle that will pass on the roads and highways which is the internet.

• ·         IT is also like a library and printing press? As we know library is a room, building, or instruction where a collection of books or other research materials is kept. IT is like a national library or we say a very wide library that is inside your computer that you can get information not only in your local or your country but all over the world you don’t need to find the right card catalog instead write what do you want to know. But also you must not trust all you have searched because there are also rumors in the internet. IT is like a printing press that you will have what you want and just print it after. IT is very useful to us in terms of information that we need.

• ·         IT is like a telephone? We all know that telephone is used to communicate people or our love ones in other places if we miss them we just simply get our phones and dial them. I can say IT is just like a telephone because we can also communicate with them using our internet via social networking websites or commonly known as the YAHOO, FACEBOOK, TWITTER, and many more.

• ·         IT is like an airplane? When we say airplane first thing that will come in our mind is that we can go other places if we will get a ride in the airplane. IT is like an airplane? Yes, I can compare IT to a airplane we can go places even we don’t go there or have some vacation there. IT can bring us or take a look to those beautiful places via internet those places will come to you and also you can get some information of those places to. You don’t need to go there to know what that place looks like.

There is lot of things that we can compare the information technology. IT is very wide word that is very difficult to explain. Information technology is now one of the careers that is commonly taken. A background in computer science, including facility in writing and interpreting programming code, is almost always the fundamental requirement for this field. As computer technology both becomes more pervasive in Financial Services and changes rapidly, skilled IT professionals are increasingly more valuable. Nowadays having an (IT) careers are very demand in our industries. As if could notice around everywhere you go there are some internet cafés that offer service in the field of information technology. It expected that even a simple person also have a career in information technology. The IT student will learn the basics of computer science, including operating systems, hardware and software components, programming, algorithms, databases, network administration, computer design, and system and internet security. IT graduate can choose from a wide range of specialized programs of study, such as computer security, computer programming, network architecture and design, multimedia and animation, software engineering, telecommunications, and web development.
